Im sitting outside class waiting for it start. It's cold, rainy, and I am extremely tired. I have decided to create and kick butt resume and apply at Seven for all Mankind and Diesel. I really love the people I work with now but its a little mundane. Got any ideas as to how to be hired?

Oh goodness blog! How I've neglected thee.
In a nut shell, I am addicted to Dandy Warhols and Ben Folds thanks to the wonderful individual Elizabeth Hammonds (Thomas told me all about refugee thingy sounds super exciting! I'll have to come sometime!)

Leaving for New Mexico tomorrow around the 8 of 45, P to the M.

Stoked. [Haven't seen Becs in 3 years]

I start Summer School on Monday. I am excited for something to do but disappointed that its speech. This also means that I'll be in school during YFN. :( [but on the bright side I can come to the night services]

I also enjoyed the movie The Incredible Hulk. Superhero movies are always cheesy goodness!

Anywho, I'm tired excited for the weekend and the impending change.

Today I ate biscuits & gravy.

Everytime I eat this meal it reminds me of the times I used to sleep over at my grandparents. I'd wake up early to the sound of sizzling bacon, stumble to the kitchen to see my granddad reading the paper and my grandmother making an elaborate breakfast. Whenever I stayed the night she'd always my my favorite - biscuits & gravy.

Summer is around the corner and I can hardly stand it!

As I was reading blogs today I decided that Im going to take a artistic journey once summer arrives.

Some of you may ask, "What is an artistic journey?"
Well, let me tell you.

I have a laundry list of art projects (fructis/eggshell chair, a starbucks table, some original clothing, etc) that I'd like to do but don't have the time when things like dirty laundry, school, applications and work are hovering over me.

I decided that Im going to take a break, an in-town vacation devoted to two things - making art and growing in God through the creativity He makes available to us.

Do you have any exceptional summer plans or bizarre art projects?

I've been learning how in worship we learn to hear God's voice. So in worship its not just us giving to God but God giving back to us, He's talking to us and imparting his vision to us. When we truly worship in spirit and in truth we're fearing God and it says in psalms that the Lord confides in those who fear him. Which makes perfect sense.

Anyway, thats about it.

Sin

10 February 2009

The past, oh I dont know, 2 weeks I've been thinking a lot about sin. How we always find a way to fall back into it one way or another. I contemplated several ideas.

1. We like control. Sin is something we choose to do. (Cor. says He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear...) So maybe we sin cause thats our way of "taking control."

2. I also considered the idea of sin becoming an escape. When we know we've screwed up the last thing we want to do is to go before the Lord, thus we just wallow in our sin making it an escape. Cause we know that God will push us out of our comfort zones so we continue to sit in filth.

I was reading Psalms this week and Psalms 7:14 stuck out at me.

"He who is pregnant with evil and concieves trouble gives birth to disillusionment."

When I read that I imagined a young mother. She just found out she is pregnant. At this point the baby is small no bigger than a pin head. Over the next nine months she nurtures it, helps it grow, til at long last she gives birth. That baby that grew inside her will always have a special place in her life.

 BAM!

Sin works the same way. It  starts small, then we feed it, and before we know it's full grown and has that hold over us, like a baby has over its mother.

Ever feel like your head's gonna explode?

Or that you simply might collapse under stress?

I do.

In fact maybe too much.

But with the help of Bon Iver, Joshua Radin,
Ian McIntosh & a little caffeine I can press on.

Cheers to the overwhelmed!

HELP!

Here are my dilemmas,
1. is there a standard form to save project files in final cut express and after effects so that im not loosing value by exporting and importing over and over?
2. I tried to export a movie that had a feathered mask on the footage. It looked fine in the canvas but then when I tried to export the feather went away. why?
3. On all my exports/rendering I find that the final product (mainly in FCE) is terrible quality!

Anyway, don't know if anyone can help but at least I tried.
