Yesterday evening a group of us celebrated Trish's birthday. T'was a great evening filled with fun, friends, food, nuns, coffee-chocolate-mochas, elf, birthday festivities and lots of talking. I greatly enjoyed it.

Friends, we should party more often.

Vomit coffee

Coffee, as many of you know, is my drug of choice. It should come as no surprise that I typically start my day with a cup or two. Thanksgiving morning I woke up and fixed myself a cup of coffee as usual. My family told me the coffee was aged sumatra and thus a bit stronger. I disregarded the comment and took a gulp of the hot coffee. As I swallowed I noticed a distinct "vomit" taste. Disgusted, I secretly poured it down the sink (thinking it was the coffee). The next morning the same thing happened. This time I blurted out that the coffee tasted like throw up. After a couple of comical remarks, my mother agreed with me. As we thought we decided that the only thing me and my mother used in ours was milk. And lo and behold......It was spoiled.

Final Project

I need your input.

I have to do a self portrait for my final in my 2d design class. The instructions were a self portrait with/in container. Pretty vague.

Right now I'm thinking using chicken wire to mold a replica of me. It would be wearing skinny jeans, an Ipod in the pocket with ear buds, a necklace, and maybe some other stuff.

What do you think? Too cliche?

My other idea was using tupperware to make "skin" on my double.

Light Reading

This is the interior of the mens bathroom in the art building. You may ask yourself, "Stephen, why on earth would you post this on your blog?" Well, I will tell you.

See that stool in the corner?

For the past 3 weeks around 9:30 am I have walked in on an elderly cleaning man reading in the corner. He simply sits in there, on the stool enjoying his book and the peaceful atmosphere.

Rather odd if you ask me.

I must say that although I am sad McCain/Palin didn't take office, I am a bit excited to see how this all plays out. I've been reminded that all authority is under God. I personally, don't know why God would allow him to take office but he has, so now all we can do is watch and wait.

Art and Naps

Today I decided to sleep.

I ate my breakfast.

took a nap.

helped my mom with the computer.

I then fixed myself some iced coffee and am now thinking about my art project.

It has to be politically inspired, so I think I am going to have death/murder words form a background. Then have a baby in the womb, with a knife coming down and slitting its throat.

This Weekend...

was quite possibly the best weekend this year.

Truly AWESOME.

The retreat was a huge stretch for me in some areas, but I learned alot and really felt like God told me a ton.

Then my brother came home.

Went to a FREAKIN AMAZING concert that totally took me by suprise!

and if that wasn't enough...God decided to completely rock my monday.....MONDAY of all days!??!?!?

Anyway.

Off for some more learning/growing.

Recently I've adopted a "no regrets" policy when it comes to my style/clothing. So this morning I decided to be adventurous and wear my oddest/newest purchase --- A florescent/highlighter orange henley.

You may be wondering why I am posting about this, but I have found it quite hilarious to see peoples looks when they see me. So far I have gotten about 50 "OMG, what the heck are you wearing!" looks and 2 compliments.

Confusion.

I must admit that I have a very difficult time with this verse, as it is very hard for me to be still. Does me taking the time to be still affect how or when God will be exalted?

Hit and Run

so yesterday, i was driving, i was coming to a stop and this dodge truck slammed into me! He sent me sailing into the guy in front of me. We all got out of our cars, and he was like, "Oh, I'm sorry, it's my fault, i was messing with my phone, i have insurance." Anyway, Mrs. Nemeth and Emily saw me and stopped, right as i was talking to them, the guy said he was moving is car (since we were blocking traffic) and just ran through the light. So now, my car is totalled, with no one to pay for it.

God is good though, I am so thankful it wasn't my fault, no one was hurt, and thankful for the Nemeths stopping.
